Our commitment to the environment means we select fabrics that are higher quality than the import or superstore variety. We choose these based upon longevity; as the upholstery should last as long as the other quality parts used in the manufacturing process.

These products that have earned our Reduced Environmental Impact designation are produced of the following fibers or materials:

100% recycled fiber, or
100% bio-based fiber, or
100% heavy metal free fiber, or
100% natural, compost-able fiber

Nano Technology in the office! Liquids wick away and don't absorb. YES...you don't spill everyday, but consider a fabric that has these properties to wick away liquids, will do the same for dust, dirt and other contaminants which cause abrasion wear; not to mention the fabric will keep its' "as new" and "fresh" appearance.

A NANO-TECHNOLOGY FABRIC THAT IS WATER REPELLENT, STAIN RESISTANT, WRINKLE RESISTANT AND BREATHABLE. THIS IS NOT A "FINISH" OR TROPICAL TREATMENT. 6. AGION .. The science behind clean.

Traditional antimic7. robial-treated performance fabrics and vinyls can lose their antimicrobial efficacy over time due to regular cleaning and abrasion. In addition, some antimicrobial treatments may use synthetic chemicals or volatile substances, which can be potentially toxic and dangerous at inappropriate levels. Conversely, surface materials with Agion active antimicrobial technology built in, safely and continuously resist microbes and bacteria on the protected surface of the upholstery for the life of your furniture.

7. PVC Free Vinyl

Q: These products are “PVC-free.” Why is that important?

A: PVC (polyvinyl chloride) contains many additives that, when disposed of by incineration or landfill, can create toxic emissions. The chemicals in the toxic emissions are both harmful to humans and the environment. These revolutionary new upholstery fabrics are not only high in performance, but they provide a reduced environmental impact benefit by being PVC-free.

Q: These products are “plasticizer-free.” Why is that important?

A: Plasticizers are used typically in PVC (vinyl) products to soften the “hand” and increase the “pliability” of the product. Plasticizers can leach out of the product over time. Some plasticizers are considered to be toxic and therefore potentially dangerous. These products do not contain plasticizers, yet remain soft, pliable and actually increase the comfort of your furniture.
