Champion Seating Co.’s Lifetime Single Shift Warranty:

Champion Seating Company, Inc., warrants to the original purchaser, from the original date of purchase, that its products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for the product’s lifetime. Normal use is defined as wear which occurs in an office environment during the course of a normal single-shift usage workday (8 hours/per day/5 days per week). We warrant the structural integrity, which does not include usage and normal weear and tear.

This lifetime warranty shall be for all lines and components except as noted: chair controls, and arms are warranted for ten (10) years. Plastic components are warranted for five (5) years. Fabric and foam are warranted for three (3) years. The fabric warranty does not include leather.

All warranties are limited to the original purchaser for normal commercial usage. Champion Seating Company will repair or replace, at its option, to the original purchaser only, any defects in products, parts, or components resultant from normal single shift use (labor, shipping & handling, is not included). Champion Seating Company will not elect replacement unless repair is not commercially practical. Normal wear and/or abuse of products, parts, fabrics, and components are not covered and should not be considered as part of the Lifetime Warranty.

Champion Seating’s warranty obligation is limited to the replacement or repair, at Champion Seating’s option, of defective products which have been reported by the purchaser to be defective in workmanship or material and which are found to be so by Champion Seating upon inspection.

This warranty does not cover labor, freight/shipping-handling charges, or damages caused by neglect, abuse, misuse, alterations, or damage caused by shipment, fire, flood, or other natural disaster or acts of God.

24/7 Continuous-shift Warranty

WARRANTY FOR INTENSIVE-USE (24/7) MODELS (multi-shift applications)

Champion Seating’s products not subject to the New Era Recycle-Refurbish Program, but used in such an environment (exceeding 8 hours per day/5 days per week), are to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years. This warranty time period dose not include normal wear and tear. Champion Seating’s shall have no warranty obligation if the product is subjected to abuse, alteration, misuse, negligence or accident. All other terms and conditions of our lifetime single shift warranty apply.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

  • The color-fastness or matching of colors, grains or textures of chair material/fabric. A customer’s own material/fabric (COM) selected by and used at the request of a user is not warranted.
  • Modifications or attachments to the product not approved by Champion Seating Company.
  • Products not installed, used or maintained in accordance with product instructions and warnings.
  • Products used for rental purposes
  • Damage caused by the carrier in-transit, which is handled under separate terms.
  • Periodic lubrication of chair mechanisms
  • Freight and/or shipping, and/or packaging, and/or handling charges.
  • Labor and/or shop supplies.

PERIODIC OR ANNUAL LUBRICATION OF THE MECHANISM AND PNEUMATIC LIFT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER.

PROCEDURE FOR WARRANTY SERVICE

Champion Seating Company’s chairs are produced in a modular format, so that repair or replacement can be just a part (back, seat, arm, caster, etc), so the chair has a longer useable lifetime than chairs as produced by others. Some items can be replaced in the field, either by the customer, an office furniture dealer, or by a trained Champion Seating Company representative. In most instances, just a part of the chair, and in some instances the entire chair, will need to be shipped back to the factory and the work will be performed at the factory. In either case, in order to make a claim under this warranty, please call Champion Seating Company’s Parts & Warranty Department (1-877-403-1770) or e-mail the Parts & Warranty Department at warranty@championseating.com. Please have the model number and/or serial number, and order number, of your chair ready when you call. The Customer Service representatives will be able to order replacement parts and/or issue a Return Authorization (RA) number for items to be shipped back to the factory. No return items will be accepted for warranty work without an RA number issued through Customer Service.

*This warranty is valid to the original purchaser only for as long as the purchaser owns and uses this product. Champion Seating Company will not be responsible for damage due to services, maintenance, modifications, or tampering by anyone other than a Champion Seating Company representative or approved dealer. The Standard Warranty is based upon single 8-hour shift use only. This warranty is void if the customer modifies the product, if attachments are made to the product, or if the product is not installed or used in accordance with Champion Seating Company installation and guidelines.

Credit Extended – Warranty

We extend credit terms from time to time and expect the invoices to be paid promptly, in full as stated on the invoice, normally due 15 days, and if agreed 30 days due maximum. Payment is due at our facility within 15 days of shipment date.
o Warranty – Payments for merchandise that are late effect and jeopardize the warranty status of current and prior shipments, and may include a warranty reinstatement penalty at Champion Seating’s discretion.
o Unpaid Invoices – The chair and/or product is not covered under our warranty, until all invoices are paid in full and within terms. This includes future purchases, and ongoing purchases.
o Short Paid Invoices – The chair and/or product is not covered under our warranty, until all invoices are paid in full and within terms.

NO WARRANTIES EXTEND BEYOND THE FACE OF THIS WARRANTY. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATIONS OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

The customer shall be responsible for all maintenance service consisting of: lubricating and cleaning of the product, minor assembly and adjustment and performing operating check-ups.

Champion will have no warranty obligation if the product is subjected to abuse, alteration, misuse, negligence or accident or the customer fails to perform the maintenance referred to above and below.

Maintenance – CARE AND CLEANING

  • Vacuum or brush fabric at least one a week. Protect from direct/glaring sunlight.
  • Use a damp cloth to clean other surfaces.
  • Check screws/bolts, nuts for tightness, clean and lubricate moving parts, such as chair controls and casters, every four months. (Do not oil or lubricate gray metal stacked clutch plates.)
  • Refer to the operating and adjustment instructions periodically.

EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET OUT ABOVE, CHAMPION SEATING COMPANY, INC., EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS AND NEGATES ANY IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY SUITABILITY EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED AS TO ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR CONFORMITY TO ANY MODELS OR SAMPLES OR MATERIALS.
